Why Tallow?
Tallow is incredibly compatible with our skin, due to both having a similar fatty-acid profile. It’s packed with bioavailable vitamins and nutrients that your skin needs for optimal health— fat-soluble vitamins B12, A, D, E & K — in a form that’s easy for your skin to use.
What differs you from other creams?
Like preivously mentioned our creams are animal based. Almost all modern creams use plant oils for their creams due to their availability (animal creams can also be inconsistent in colour depending on the animals diet).
So how is Tallow oil better than Plant oil?
Plant-forms of some of the vitamins found in tallow aren’t always present in a form that is easily used by the body, but there are components in tallow that help your body activate and use these fat-soluble vitamins.
Why do we need fat-soluble vitamins? They’re a powerhouse for skin health, contributing to collagen and elastin production, skin cell development, free radical protection, and helping the skin heal among other things.
Ingredients
It is important that our Tallow is sourced from Grass Fed Beef as this contains the highest concentration of super-nutrients.
Does it smell beefy?
Our tallow is processed through 3 purification steps to eliminate any impurities that may cause a beef smell. The cream is ordorless but as with any natural product, there needs to be some open mindness.
How much do I need?
As you can imagine beef can is quite oily so a little bit goes a far way. Due to the similarities our skin shares with tallow however, a little too much will still be absorbed fast.
How should I store it?
Beef tallow is a natural hard oil that will solidify at room temperature but begins to liquidate under any heat, so keep in a cool place or refrigerate for a longer shelf life.
How long does it last?
Since it is made from organic products it does have a shelf life. We remove 99.9% of water during purififcation but exposure to oxygen means it will last roughly 6 month.
